They’ve only been around since 2018, but Kayo Sports today is Australia’s only dedicated multisport streaming service, offering 50 different sports to watch live or on-demand. Just as impressive is how fast they built their audience, signing on more than 360K new subscribers in just nine months. 

It was a team effort, and Kayo’s stakeholders were not a bunch of rookies. They had deep and very successful experience in partnership channel management, so they confidently put partnerships at the heart of the company’s growth strategy.

They had deep and very successful experience in partnership channel management, so they confidently put partnerships at the heart of the company’s growth strategy. They also knew robust technology would be essential and sought from the beginning a platform that would make the most of their expertise and enable their small team to quickly build a sizable and diverse partner network. That’s why Impact made the lineup.

With the help of Impact’s Partnership Cloud, Kayo has been able to:

  • Use streamlined discovery processes to pursue relationships ranging from corporate and commercial partners to sports associations, sporting clubs, digital media, and publishing partners 
  • Onboard new partners easily and free their team from manual day-to-day processes such as contracting, paying out partners, and pulling reports
  • Leverage Impact’s native integration with its mobile measurement vendor, Branch, to facilitate in-app tracking. The integration provides app-install tracking, app-to-app subscription measurement and attribution (both iOS and Android), and tracking of conversion events occurring in-app to optimize partner incentives 
  • Base partner payouts on the quality of each partner’s referrals 
  • Exceed its customer acquisition targets, signing on 364,000 subscribers in just the nine months after launch, of which nearly 25% were partnership-driven
