The MotoLady was founded by Alicia Elfving in 2011 to celebrate women motorcyclists around the world. Alicia is an author and journalist using her experience in photography in conjunction with her love of storytelling to capture the wonderful world of two wheels. In 2021 she released a hardcover book featuring 74 modern and historic women in motorcycling called The MotoLady's Book of Women Who Ride: Motorcycle Heroes, Trailblazers, and Record Breakers. Elfving is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and proponent of handmade goods, wrenching, and building things for yourself. Her other endeavors include the six-year-strong Women's Motorcycle Show event, motorcycle building, offroad trucks and rally racing, trail conservation, leathercraft, and a career in marketing.
