Impact is all about partnerships, and the 2020 PMAs presented an opportunity to show off a diverse array of clients and their agencies and some of their most innovative and successful partnership campaigns. We were rewarded for our efforts with three big wins at the 2020 PMAs held August 25 and three highly commended entries. Thank you and congratulations to our teams and our clients for demonstrating partnerships at their best!

Here’s a roundup of our PMA 2020 results:

Winner! Best Managed Affiliate Programme, SME: Impact and Optimus Performance Marketing for Richer Sounds

The Richer Sounds team, in conjunction with Optimus and Impact, were forced to find a new way to compete in an Amazon-dominated market. Looking at the affiliate channel to grow both revenue and market share, the group aimed to deliver a clear message to reflect the brand’s core values, promotions to drive conversions, and a publisher base to maintain control over these elements. Leveraging recruitment with elite publishers to align Richer Sounds’ affiliate team with its products and development proved strong. Furthermore, utilizing Impact technology and Optimus’ services allowed for a custom program to engage with the right publishers, analyze data, and adopt tactical innovation. Through this approach, Richer Sounds grew revenue by 65%, improved ROAS by 10%, and maintained market share.

Judge’s comment: “Smart execution and incredible results stood out here.”

Winner! Best Finance Campaign: Impact for Revolut

Working together to create a powerful Influencer and partner finance campaign, fintech brand Revolut partnered with Impact to bring a disruptor mindset to the affiliate channel and finance world. Through a series of automations, analyses, and creative approaches, the two tech-first

challengers redefined what it means to be an affiliate in the financial vertical. Over the course of 12 months, Revolut aimed to provide a better experience for customers, giving them more control, more convenience, and more opportunity. By the end of the year, the program grew to have more than 6,000 active partners, saved over 140 hours in automation, and delivered a growth rate of 700%.

Judge’s comment: “Great optimisation of the affiliate channel, turning customers into advocates and automating many processes.”

Winner! Best Programme Launch or Migration: Impact and Neo for TUI Group

Migrating the UK’s largest travel affiliate programme within a month was a substantial task. However, with the help of Impact and full-service agency Neo, TUI Group created an innovative strategy to separate service and technology through three core areas: migrating publishers, migrating reporting, and implementing an updated commission structure. Utilizing Impact to deliver automated insights, reporting, and flexible advanced contracting, TUI Group migrated its top revenue-driving partners while introducing a commission structure that rewarded partners efficiently. All of this resulted in seamless migration of TUI Group’s partners and substantial revenue growth in just four weeks.

Judge’s comment: “Clear objectives set with a clear action plan to migrate a huge amount of publishers.”
