Why is this role exciting!

Do you want to take an active role in shaping and disrupting the future of the modern partnerships industry? Do you want to help build the next great product offerings within the ParTech space from scratch? Do you want to jumpstart and manage multiple product line ventures?

If you answered yes to these questions, we believe this is the right job for you!

The Impact strategy team is looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual that wants to take a leading role in commercializing several of our future product lines. We are currently rigging our very own Impact Labs which will be a ParTech incubator creating new solutions that deepen the capabilities of the overall product.

As a Growth Product Manager, you will be working within a structured innovation process that manages and drives a portfolio of new venture concepts that Impact wants to explore.

We are looking for individuals who have been part of startups and know how to get their hands dirty and get things done - or who have done similar business development within larger innovative firms. The ventures we are creating are exploring new technologies and service offerings. Therefore, we are looking for a tech/engineering mindset that can both understand the core technology and the business case surrounding it by verifying the concepts’ viability, desirability and feasibility.

An important role will be ideating and capturing new concepts from across the firm to feed the innovation funnel. As part of the verification process Growth Product Managers will go out into the field and test concepts with potential clients, incrementally proving and building the concepts. Once you have set up a venture, you will be running a pseudo P&L at the product line level and be responsible for driving the product line forward.

This role will require a lot of self sufficiency and the Growth Product Manager should be able to “take the hill” on their own - reaching out to the necessary players within Impact to get things done. As mini CEOs you will be thinking about and representing their product lines on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the product has a strategic focus over the longer horizon.

The role will report to the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer (Former CEO), and work closely with both the strategy team and leadership team.

Impact is a global firm and the role is international by nature. Working as a Strategy Manager from Oslo, you will have a lot of autonomy in defining your own work day, however you will need to expect, depending on project, weekly collaboration across time zones. This role also involves travelling to head offices as needed.

What you will be doing:

The strategy team is lean and all members contribute where necessary. However, the Growth Product Manager is responsible for contributing to the following:

  • Do whatever takes to build our next game changing products (we will provide the niche UX/dev skills)
    • Lead Product Specification & UX with our design team
    • Market validation with clients or running experiments
    • Working with internal or external engineering teams to get the products built.
    • Stand up initial marketing efforts to acquire customers.
    • As products mature, work to transition ownership into the product organization as required.
  • Driving venture concepts through the Impact Labs and verifying their viability, desirability and feasibility.
  • Developing and running the future product lines of Impact.com including managing a pseudo P&L
  • Supporting in particular Impact Bets as SDM or Bets Manager
  • Support in the recruitment of further A-class hires to strengthen the strategy team and the Oslo headquarter
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the entire management of Impact.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree of engineering type background from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record. Supplementary, an advanced business degree or MBA is preferred
  • Has started their own startup, has been part of an initial startup team, or has otherwise experience in commercializing products within larger, innovative firms.
  • Has experience working with innovation frameworks such as lean startup
  • Self sufficient, robust and able to “take the hill” on their own
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen
  • Proven ability to lead teams, motivate others, communicate complex ideas clearly, gain the respect of clients and colleagues, and work collaboratively
  • Collaborative relationship builder with ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
  • Ability to take initiative and eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others, and take personal risks
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly with time zones

What we offer:

  • Work closely with some of the world’s best in the industry
  • Access and collaborate directly with brilliant a-level talent and the top executive leadership
  • An established company with a cool, high-velocity work ethos, where you can leave your mark on the organization!
  • Address exciting opportunities and complex strategic challenges in the leading partnership automation provider
  • Become part of an international community having the ability to travel abroad and work in all our headquarters
  • Are part of an inclusive work environment, where we support, trust and cheer on each other

  • Stock Grants - 4-year vesting schedule pending Board approval
