Your Role at impact.com:

As the the Senior Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of US payroll.Responsibilities include all aspects of pay administration including preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll payments and payroll taxes for the US and will require working closely with HR, BizAps, ADP, and various internal and external inputs into the payroll process to ensure payroll deadlines, quality of service, statutory compliance, and operational performance are met. This role will report directly into the Global Payroll Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete all aspects of US payroll administration
    • Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to base pay, stock
    • compensation, payroll taxes, statutory and supplemental benefits, and any other items
    • remitted to employees through the payroll process.
    • • Manage and oversee the reporting from HRIS and payroll systems as it relates to gross
    • payroll, tax deductions, benefit deductions and employee status change requests, to
    • ensure consistency between systems and with source records
    • • Address and provide timely response to notices raised by US, State and Local tax
    • authorities. Collaboration with the payroll provider and tax advisors may be appropriate for
    • certain matters.
  • Stay current on regulations, and labor laws impacting payroll process, and stay compliant for all
  • payroll tax jurisdictions in which we operate. Oversee/ process W-2’s, reconcile and process
  • funding to 401(k), FSA and HSA providers.
  • Work with external auditors on audits, substantive testing, walkthroughs, and all other information gathering related to payroll.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of US payroll.
  • Uplift current payroll operations and streamline processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best-in-class services.
  • Prepare reports or returns summarizing payroll-related expenditures.

What You Have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of multi-state payroll experience in private and public company environments; (ADP) experience preferred
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with payroll tax laws and regulations
  • CPP or equivalent relevant certification is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • An independent, self-motivated individual who works well under pressure with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Self-starter with a great work ethic and an analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent multi-tasker who is always “on it” with stellar time and project management skills; understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
  • Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information

Salary range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, plus additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

Your Role at impact.com:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be the champion of performance and stability for our impact.com SaaS platform. Working closely with various engineering squads, you'll ensure features meet strict performance and error rate benchmarks. This collaborative role involves implementing comprehensive observability features to proactively identify and resolve issues. Ultimately, your mission is to guarantee exceptional platform reliability and global uptime. You'll be an expert in building, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting complex systems, with a deep understanding of all technical layers. A relentless focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Become an expert of our observability tools, such as Elastic APM, Splunk, Logic Monitor, Grafana. Build and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions with these tools to ensure we are aware of the health of customer-facing product features
  • Leverage data analyst tools such as DataBricks, Python, Machine Learning, Anomaly Detection to merge and augment observability datasets 
  • Ensure performance and metrics of our product features are within acceptable thresholds. Examples include: response latency, cpu and memory consumption, cloud costs, error rates, uptime
  • Analyze and understand client-generated workloads - ensure resource consumption is consistent with their contract (e.g. Enterprise clients generate larger requests than Small Businesses, not the other way around). 
  • Configure alerts and document associated run books when thresholds are exceeded
  • Drive and contribute to root-cause analysis when issues are identified
    • Troubleshoot across the entire stack: hardware, software, database, network, applications, customer-generated workloads
    • This role will have a particular focus on database performance and query optimization
    • Remediations may include software or database optimizations, changes to rate limit configurations, or client outreach to reduce heavy requests. 
    • Identify targets for optimization, and collaborate with appropriate teams and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved
  • Analyze platform usage data to calculate costs generated by customers using our platform, inform capacity planning decisions, and find area for improvement

What You Have:

  • Solid understanding of systems and application design.
  • Experience building and using observability features with tools such as ElasticSearch, Grafana, LogicMonitor, Splunk.
  • Experience database monitoring and SQL tuning
  • Proficient in at least one high-level programming language and shell scripting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to adapt and focus on the simplest, most efficient and reliable solutions.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience.

 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 per year, plus additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant. *This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
